Sample Toast Speech

Serendipity, That's how I call John and Mary's love story. You see, my friend John here used to be a night person. He used to call me every night, and I mean every night, just to ask me to accompany him to different nights spots. Circle of friends thought he would end up marrying someone who has an active night life also.
But, twist of fate. One early morning, my pregnant wife asked me to buy a green mango, and it should be in Carbon Market. A whim from my wife's pica, I readily obliged. So I called John, and eventhough we still felt tired and sleepy from the last night's adventure, off we went, prime destination, of all places, Carbon Market.
So , there we were... When John was about to pick a green mango, another female hand was about to reach for it also. Both hands were then holding the same mango.When John looked at the owner of the hand, wham, love at first sight. Not just for John, but also for Mary. When I gazed back at their hands, both hands were interlocked, minus the mango though. And the stares, the stares that only their hearts can understand. Time stood still. I witnessed the most romantic moment. It was as if sweet music was played at that time. It was as if Carbon was the most romantic place in the world, a France and Rome combined.
From then on, both played sweet music together until they decided to get married. So, here we are today gathered together to celebrate with them their union.
Let's propose a toast! A toast to John and Mary! To life long happy journey! To serendipity! Cheers!
